This map was a computer scan from the pages of the 34th Fighter Squadron
yearbook from WW2 about 1945.  Today, Ie Shima is still a super airbase with
modern jet fighters and even more runways.  The 34th Fighter Squadron still
exist and is located in Ogden Utah.  The last time I talked, they were packing
everything up, maybe for a trip to Iraq.
