This is the trek to see the Woolly Mammoth in Khatanga Siberia on the North Pole Expedition of 2002.

Our group walked down the hill from the city of Khatanga to the entrance of the ice cave where the woolly mammoth is currently stored.  As we walked down into the valley of the Khatanga River the temperature dropped about ten degrees.  The temperature drop was very noticeable.  The ice cave, as they call it, is really part of a series of access tunnels under the city of Khatanga.  These tunnels carry wires, pipes, steam heat pipes and more.

Adventure travel to see the Woolly Mammoth in Khatanga may be almost impossible unless you have the right degrees and know the right people.  Trips and travel to see the Woolly Mammoth are super adventure tours competing with with adventures and tours of all other kinds of ancient sites.  If you want other tours to see Woolly Mammoths in other parts of the world, this is entirely possible.  Tour the past with adventure trips and see the future of the cloning of the woolly mammoth, if they ever are successful in finding intact DNA of the woolly mammoth.  Cloning mammoth by using woolly mammoth fossils
