 Subject: Paris Hilton DUI, Where is our country heading and what are your kids really looking at. |
| This is the response to a letter from my cousin when she said
that she was proud that all five of the Dyrek brothers served in the military.
Yes, the military was a real good thing for all of us. But when I look at the kids today, the kids that have dropped out of high school or just stuck around after high school, I see a lot of kids that have no future, especially the drop outs. I wish that there was a pre boot camp that these kids could go to, to get their GED and then on to the regular service. One kid that I am working with now has no money, no education, he's always on drugs or drunk, always in fights, his dad is in jail right now, and the kid doesn't want to do anything. He is eighteen and already has a kid, what chance does he or his baby have? This year will make thirty years that I have continuously worked with kids, but there is a change. Everything is meth and sex now. Drugs are more of a danger to our country than Al Qaeda or any Terrorist Group. I talked to a couple of the police officers and they said that the laws are making it harder and harder to bust the drug pushers. I don't know what laws these are and no one has explained them to me, but I'm having a feeling of no hope for our country. Recently the news was talking about Paris Hilton and her DUI. So I looked her up on the internet. I opened the first page and there was a movie with her naked in a bathtub showing everything. On the bottom of the page was Brittney Spears doing something orally to a man. How come my parental block didn't catch this? On the left side of the page was a huge list of all of the celebrities. They're not celebrities, they're enemies. They're teaching all young girls that, that is how you are supposed to act to be popular in life. Anyway, when I watch an old war movie and I see how all of those guys and gals fought for our country, I break out in tears. I'm telling you the truth. What did they fight for, so freedom of speech could be everything filthy but we cannot say the word God. I really feel hopeless, that's the truth. On the O'Reilly Factor they were talking about Gangster Rap and the Kill a Cop song. The lawyer said it was their freedom of speech. Two days later the college was all shot up, then there was a shooting, again, in Fresno. But, on the cover of the Chicago Tribune 28 April 2007 a Cary-Grove senior was thrown out of school, arrested, and refused the right to join the Marines because he wrote the same thing. Where do we have our heads screwed onto, our rear ends? Must be. If the law isn't the law for everyone, then there is no law. If we keep teaching our kids these bad things, we will not have a country. Sorry for sounding so down, but when I hear about our soldiers fighting for freedom, it makes me sick to see what our freedom means for our soldiers. Just ask the Korean War Vets about the cross above their memorial in San Diego and how the suit went to tear it down. Our Veterans are told that they are the best, that the government is behind them and that people respect them, but when they get injured in the service, guess what happens, click here to read the webmasters story and find out.
