This plane was a WW2 trainer and many of our Warbird pilots have learned in this aircraft.  Take a good look at the engine.  When kids look at this airplane they see the beautiful red paint, but, they also see that powerful radial engine hanging off of the front of this trainer.  This is training, just looking at this airplane close up teaches kids about all of the different configurations found in aviation.  Not sitting too far from this airplane is an F-16 Falcon and next to the Falcon is a Boeing 727 from Federal Express.  These kids can see the technology changes from years ago and compare the differences that they find in aviation today.
