Martin Tighe - United Kingdom

Martin Tighe is a UK citizen currently residing in the USA. Since his
schoolboy days in Manchester, he has endeavored to explore his
own physical limits while experiencing some of the most beautiful
and dangerous places on earth. He has scaled some of the more
difficult peaks in the Himalayan region of Everest National Park,
summited the highest mountain in the Atlas range in Morocco,
and kayaked the white waters of Europe and North America.

As a marathon runner, Martin is certainly no slouch with an
excellent lifetime best of 2 hours 26 minutes. He has raced in
numerous marathons in Holland, Germany, and England and
continues to successfully compete in marathons in and around New
England, USA. Indeed, Martin enjoys competing in any form of
running event from 5 km to the marathon, whether it be
cross-country, road, trail, or track races.

Martin is using this adventure as a learning opportunity for his
students at the Network Program in Attleboro, Massachusetts USA.
He is currently training in an ice cream freezer to simulate
conditions and is certain to be a very tough competitor. We are
delighted to have him on board.
