When:  January 1968
Where:  Aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63)
Location:  On Yankee Station - Tonkin Gulf, North Vietnam
Who:  VAW-114 Hormel Hawgs
Aircraft:  E2A Hawkeye

On his way!

Oh, look! Moving up to the portside bow catapult is an EA-1F Skyraider with the VAW-13 Det. 63 Zappers. This was an ECM (Electronic Countermeasures) variant of the A-1 that flew in support of the ships and aircraft of Task Force 77 (TF 77) throughout Tonkin Gulf. I'm embarrassed to say I forgot all about this aircraft until I was jogged by this photo after all these years.
