RVAH-11 Checkertails
RA-5C Vigilante #603 at the forward starboard catapult -
blast shield up - Afterburner lit - ready to go... Sitting on the flight deck, the JBD is up and afterburners lit.   An A-5 Vigilante and an A-4 Skyhawk get ready for launch aboard the USS Kitty Hawk in the Tonkin Gulf in 1968. This is the beginning of the Viet Nam War.
