An A-5 Vigilante misses the wire on the flight deck of the kitty hawk

Photo from Brad Jones
stationed aboard the USS Kitty Hawk

What: Missed Trap
When: January 1968
Where: Aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63)
Location: On Yankee Station - Tonkin Gulf, North Vietnam
Who: RVAH-11 Checkertails
Aircraft: RA-5C Vigilante

He had to have had too much airspeed to be leaving without AB lit! Probably why he missed the wire (thank goodness).
