Ground Plants growing in Alaskia

Just look at the beautiful colors. This is the floor of the Alaska tundra looking at the wild native plants. I certainly don't know what any of these plants are but they were on the floor of the forest on Alaska Highway 1 between Gennallen and Palmer. As I walked north of the highway, the land was as if it was once cut by a bulldozer as if they were going to make Highway 1 a four lane rode. I didn't walk more than two hundred feet totally from the road, but this picture and the carved out looking area was only about fifty feet north of Highway 1. If you have read the previous pages, you will notice that I took a lot of pictures just north of the highway and at every place that I stopped in this section, there appeared to be dozer work done at one time in the past. If anyone knows what these plants are or if there was indeed some dozer work parallel to Highway 1, let me know at the bottom of the page.
