This is a Photo of Various Ground Plants on Alaska Highway 4 near Valdez. Alaska Highway 4 is absolutely fantastic all the way from Fairbanks to Valdez. If you ever go to Alaska you need to do the loop from Anchorage, to Fairbanks and then to Valdez and back to Anchorage.

Alaska Expedition 2006.

In this photo of the ground plants in Alaska you can see the beautiful colorful view of the mountain slopes. This photo was taken somewhere between Glennallen and Valdez, very close to the Worthington Glacier. The mountains were filled with magical colors and incredible scenes of the clouds as they passed through the mountain passes. On Alaska Highway 4, there are many waterfalls that are right next to the road. There is also a beautiful lake that you can see from above as you wind down the mountain pass toward Valdez.
