North Pole Travel and Global Warming, What it Means to You

As we were returning home from our North Pole Expedition, I was lucky enough to have a window seat.

We crossed the Alps, then France and now up the east coast of England.  The views were fantastic and I realized the trip wasn't over.  Riding in an airplane at 34,000 feet is an adventure in itself.  With this shot I only had about five photos left on my very last roll.  I knew I should have bought more film while I was in Milan.

The Famous White Cliffs of Dover are well remembered by many aviators in WW2.  This was the sign that they were almost home and very soon to be headed into safe country.  Made of chalk, the white cliffs are truly white and this photo doesn't show the real beauty of this scene from the aircraft window.

Our trip continued across England, up near Iceland and across the southern tip of Greenland, then across Canada and down the coast of the Hudson and James bay, finally crossing Sioux Saint Marie and down the east side of Lake Michigan with a landing at Chicago's O'Hare Airport.

Now I'm sitting at home remembering this fantastic trip.  Was it real or was it a dream?  I have the pictures, so I know there was a reality about it, but when I sit in the chair here at work it's almost like a dream with fantastic memories of people and places that I will never forget.

I've been to Hawaii three times and I had a fantastic time there too, however, this trip to the north pole was more fun than all of the trips to Hawaii all put together.  I'm going to the North Pole next year and you can come with me if you want.
