Trekking across the expanses
of ice gives you a feeling of isolation. You are seven hundred miles from
land and only a handful of people on top of a frozen ocean. This makes it
the most fantastic of all trekking ski holidays. To pull these
sledges you must be capable of running 10 miles per day for ten days in a row.
It's a lot of work but more and more ski teams are heading for the North Pole
every year.
