A Picture of Jack's Pitts RC Model Gas Motor showing the Aircrafts Carburetor and Magneto Ignition.

A large RC Model Gas Motor like this is build much like any larger motor with a separate carburetor and magneto ignition system like any real aircraft would have.

In a one third scale RC model airplane like this Pitts replica, you need a lot of horsepower and control.  Speaking of control, Jack was telling me that the servos had about eight foot pounds of torque.  That is a tremendous amount of power.  Actually this Radio Control System is incredibly complex as compared to the electronics on a real Pitts.  I may be wrong, but I don't believe anyone has put an autopilot system in a real Pitts.  If anyone knows of a real Pitts with an Autopilot system, please let me know Write to the Webmaster
