North Pole Travel and Global Warming, What it Means to You

 

Standing on the Khatanga River of Siberia, you can see ice bound boats trapped in the background of this photo. 

There's a lot to know about walking across a frozen river.  It's best to follow a road.  Really, there are no roads, but, there are tracks where multiple snowmobiles have traveled which the people from Khatanga call roads.
