What ever direction a kid looks at using his mind, is the direction that
the kid will follow. The purpose of the Yellow Airplane website is
to keep kids heading in the right direction. By using airplanes and
the whole spectrum of aviation, we can keep our kids heading into a direction
of technology and education. Here's a great formula for teaching
kids about airplanes, technology and education. Watch
a movie + Build a model airplane
+ Go to an air show X Spaced
Repetition = An educated kid. Watch a movie
about the kinds of airplanes that you will see at an upcoming air show.
+ Build a model of the kind of
airplane you saw in the movie. + Go to a local
air show,
you will have the time of your life and see tremendous things. Continued
here These airplane models are plastic kit
airplane models, die cast models, Fockewulf mahogany airplane models, and wood
model kits. WW2 Focke-Wulf Fw 190 Books WW2 Focke-Wulf Fw-190 Aviation Art WW2 Fw-190 Focke-Wulf Models |

video covers the operations of the Bf 109 on all fronts to 1942 and the
early missions of the Fw 190 over France and the English Channel.
Approximately 55 minutes. (Other titles in the "The Luftwaffe in WW2" series
are also available.) These gripping and graphic wartime battle
films, taken from the nose of German aircraft in action, were originally
used to train German pilots on methods of engaging the enemy. Thus, each
clip describes the aircraft involved, angle of attack, and starting and
finishing distance between them - sometimes as little as 75 feet! Featured
aircraft include Fw 190s, Me 109s and Bf 110s against B-17s, B-24s, P-47s,
P-51s, Yak-9s and others. B&W, 32 minutes. These gripping and graphic wartime battle

Fighter Aircraft of World War Two
This 2-disc set revisits the glory of four great warplanes that battled in
WWII. For the Allies, the Spitfire fought throughout the war while the
Hurricane swooped to dispatch over two-thirds of all enemy aircraft
destroyed in the Battle of Britain. On the German side, the Bf 109 fought on
all fronts, downing twice as many aircraft as any other fighter plane in
history while the FW-190 proved superior over RAF aircraft. Over three hours
long.

World War 2 History Study Facts. |
| Precursors to today's cruise missiles, Mistels were composed of unmanned, obsolete Ju 88 bombers fitted with a huge warhead and a rudimentary guidance system. Coupled to either a Bf 109 or Fw 190, the fighter pilot flew the combination to within a reasonable distance of its target and then jettisoned the bomber |
| There's
a very good reason to build airplane models
and that is when you build a model you learn. You learn about aircraft
components, airplane types, aviation history, reading plans, blueprints,
types of glue and gluing techniques, paints, paint brush types, different
types of paints, decals and a lot more.
When you build a model you are building your future. You are preparing for that technical job of the future. You are learning about technology and manufacturing just like the engineers who build the high performance aircraft today. Many of these engineers started out by building models and when you're putting you're model together you can feel the strength it gives you, just like the aviation engineers. And at the same time you are making the dream of your future come true. Just look at what happens when you complete a model. Your model is placed on a shelf or hung from the ceiling, not thrown into a box and treated like one of those junk toys. Models really are something better than just a toy, they are like a trophy which shows your dedication to work and detail. |
